Wildscreen Festival Panda Awards 2020

The call for entries for the Official Selection and the Panda Awards of the 20th Wildscreen Festival is open to photographers and filmmakers worldwide.

The Wildscreen Panda Awards have honoured the very best in natural world storytelling craft since 1982 . In 2020, the Panda Awards will go back to its roots. They will focus solely on the unique craft, specialist skills and talent required to tell natures stories.

The Panda Awards celebrate the craft of wildlife filmmaking and photography and honor the very best that our industry is producing. Submissions are accepted from productions of any length or budget.

If your production is outstanding within the 11 Panda Award categories and nominated for a Panda Award, you will have the opportunity to be internationally recognized by winning the highest accolade in the wildlife filmmaking industry, drawing your work to the attention of our senior industry executive attendees such as the BBC, Netflix and National Geographic. Panda Award nominated films are shown to industry professionals, giving you the opportunity to showcase your work to industry professionals and wildlife film enthusiasts. You will also be invited to the Panda Award ceremony where the Panda Award 2020 winners will be announced and presented with a Wildscreen Panda Award.

The 20th Wildscreen Festival will take place from 19th October to 23rd October 2020 in Bristol, UK.

Photo Story Award

In 2018, the inaugural Photo Story Panda Award was introduced to recognize the craft of photography alongside that of film and cement the craft within the DNA of the Wildscreen Festival.

If you are nominated you will have the opportunity to be internationally recognized by the natural world storytelling community and be part of the Wildscreen Panda Award Photo Story outdoor exhibition, attracting over 45,000 members of the public in 2018. You and your work will be showcased at Wildscreen Festival 2020.
