The United Nations is currently accepting entries in the 2013 Ranan Lurie Political Cartoon Awards competition. This annual political cartoon award, given in the international field, has been established to promote the highest standard of excellence in political cartoons.
Thirteen (13) awards will be granted in 2013, from which three (3) are main awards and ten (10) are honorable mentions — the First Prize is $10,000!
Entries for these awards may be made by any professional individual, and should consist of political cartoons printed in any publication published anywhere, in any language.
Winning cartoons will be chosen for their high professional standards in art, political analysis of events, projection of events to come, humor, while emphasizing the spirit and principles of the U.N.
