Typography is a tool to give shape to a content. Readability comes first – the matter has to be comprehended as fast as possible.
But how do typefaces look like whose shapes typify the content, whose characters form a statement?
The exhibition Talking Type shows projects dealing with this issue. Conventional type design will be replaced by objects, installations, posters and programming that challenge the traditional use of fonts.
If your work extends the classical field of typography, if you want to be part of the exhibition, then submit your project.
If your work is selected it will be exhibited at “Talking Type” exhibition in July in Karlsruhe, Germany. You will also get a copy of the exhibition catalogue.
- European design students are invited to submit their projects.
- You can submit one or several projects.
- The deadline for entries is 15 June 2010.
- The participation in the exhibition and the publication in the catalogue is free.
