SEGD Global Design Awards 2014

The Society for Environmental Graphic Design (SEGD) has opened the competition for its 2014 Global Design Awards – the only international design awards focused on visual communications in the built environment, highlighting the importance of Environmental Graphic Design (EGD) in connecting people to place.

Wayfinding, Placemaking and Identity, Exhibition, Strategy/Research/Planning, and Public Installation projects can be submitted in several sub-categories.

SEGD is expecting entries from: Environmental graphic designers, Graphic artists, Architects, Exhibit designers, Media developers, Landscape architects, Industrial designers, Interior designers, Fabricators, Clients and Students.

Winning projects will be featured in eg magazine, SEGD’s award-winning journal of environmental graphic design, and on the SEGD website. Winners will be honored at the SEGD Global Design Awards Celebration during the annual SEGD Conference.

The 2014 SEGD Conference is scheduled for 5-7 June 2014, in Atlanta.

The SEGD Global Design Awards were established in 1987 to recognize excellence in environmental graphic design. Winning projects have included complex wayfinding systems, branding and identity work, retail and interior projects, exhibition and experience design, architectural signage programs, and public art installations.
