Prescott Film Festival (PFF) 2011

The 2011 season of the Prescott Film Festival is well under way with great films screening at the historic 900 seat Hendrix Auditorium on the campus of Prescott Mile High Middle School!

The Prescott Film Festival & Series is dedicated to supporting independent films and filmmakers by featuring them through the festival & monthly series while enhancing the cultural and economic welfare of the quad-city area.

The 2011 Prescott Film Festival is coming 2-6 November 2011.

Objective

Prescott Film Festival accepts entries in the following official categories:

  • Narrative
  • Documentary
  • Arizona
    An Arizona film is defined as a film that was either shot in Arizona or has an Arizona Producer, Director, Lead Actor/Supporting Actor, or Screenwriter.
  • Emerging Filmmaker
    Emerging filmmakers may include student or recent film school graduates, but also those who are making their first feature or short film. Films submitted for the emerging filmmaker category will not be eligible for the main PFF awards categories.

Prizes

Prescott Film Festival will award the best films with the following awards:

  • Jury Award:
    • Best Short
    • Best Feature
  • Audience Choice Award:
    • Best Short
    • Best Feature
  • Director’s Choice Award:
    • Best Director

Rules

  • Prescott Film Festival screens independent feature and short films.
  • Programs that have aired on television or have been published on the Internet in their entirety are not eligible for competition.
  • No revisions will be accepted once the entry has been made.
  • DVDs are non-returnable.

How to enter?

Please check your entry and include the following materials with your submission:

  • Completed and signed (2 places) entry/release form (available from the official website)
  • Brief synopsis in English
  • Credit sheet
  • History of Screenings, TV Presentation and /or Awards and Festivals
  • 2 DVD and/or Blu-ray disks – unless upload option is specified
  • Press Kit (if available) – may be uploaded to PPF server
  • Entry Fee

Entry fee

The entry fees for the regular deadline (16 March – 15 May 2011) are as follows:

  • Feature film (45 minutes and longer) – $45
  • Short film (shorter than 45 minutes) – $35

For submissions in the Arizona and Emerging Filmmaker categories, a 50% discount on submission fees applies.
