PhotoVisa 2015 Photography and Multimedia Contest

The call for entries of the 2015 PhotoVisa Photography and Multimedia Contest, themed “The Language of Memory” is open.

Photographs and multimedia projects created not earlier than 2012 by photographers of any age or nationality are accepted.

Projects of the finalists and winners will be exhibited within the framework of the 7th International Festival of photography PhotoVisa in Krasnodar, Russia.

“The Language of Memory” theme can be presented by works created with both analogue and digital media, including photo-manipulation. It covers contemplation of certain signs conveying the past, reconstruction of processes and creation of images necessary for memory restoration, retention, and, finally, consideration of memory as one of the figurative forms of communication between individuals and cultures.

This year the organizers ask questions keeping in mind that both human being and memory are fragile and priceless. One of the key questions raised by the curators of the Festival program in 2015 is whether it is possible to share one’s memories.

The PhotoVisa 2015 contest is held in 3 nominations: Single photograph, Photo series and Multimedia Project (photo clip).

The results of jury work will be announced within the days of the festival of 2015 at the finalists’ exhibition opening. The winners in the nominations Photograph and Photoseries will be announced at the exhibition opening. The winners in the nominations Multimedia Project (photoclip) will be announced at the special multimedia show within films program of the Festival.
