Registrations and submissions are now being accepted from all parts of the world for the Kokuyo Design Awards 2016 international competition, themed “How To Live“.
Designs for items used in our everyday lives, such as stationery, furniture or household goods are eligible for submission.
The best entry will be awarded with a Grand Prix of 2,000,000 Japanese yen — more than 16,000 Euro! Three Merit awards of 500,000 Japanese yen each, will also be announced.
The Kokuyo Design Awards have been created to attract beautifully functional product designs and take the best of the best to the actual consumer market.
Corporations, organizations, individuals, and group are all welcome, regardless of age, sex, professional background, or nationality.
Entry eligibility is limited to those designs never before shown publicly (in Japan, other countries). Multiple submissions by participant are allowed.
Last year, the Kokuyo Design Awards received a total of 1,659 entries from product designers in more than 41 countries.
