International Garden Photographer of the Year 2012

Garden and Landscape Photographic Arts (GALPA) Ltd. is currently hosting the 6th edition of its annual photography competition – International Garden Photographer of the Year. This is a one of a kind photography competition that focuses on plants and gardens.

There are eight categories to enter and a special section for people under 16 years of age.

The International Garden Photographer of the Year 2012 will be awarded with £5000! Winners will be announced at an exhibition in March, 2013. A book of the exhibition is normally produced each year.

A Competition that Celebrates Plants and Garden Photography Annually

International Garden Photographer of the Year is the world’s premier photography competition focusing on plants and gardens. Entries are being accepted in eight (8) distinctive categories. You can enter as many photographs in as many categories as you like.

Whoever wins International Garden Photographer of the Year 2012 will be awarded with £5000!

The winning photographs in this competition are organized as follows:

  • International Garden Photographer of the Year – Best image of all the single image category winners
  • The Royal Photographic Society Gold Award for Best Portfolio – Best Portfolio
  • Winners – win prizes in the various categories and photographs exhibited and published – see below.
  • Finalists – photographs exhibited and published – see below.
  • Highly Commended – photographs featured on the website and published – see below.
  • Commended – photographs featured on the website

The competition is open to everyone, amateurs and professionals alike. Entries are welcome from any country in the world. There are no restrictions on the type of camera you use, or the techniques you use to produce your final image.

Entry Fee

The competition costs £10 to enter.
