Industria Espansi Sinterizzati (IES) announces its first ideas competition for product designers called IES European Design Award 2015, to promote and encourage creative expression and innovation in Micro and Macro Design.
The focus is on the Expanded Polypropylene (EPP) and Expanded Polystyrene (EPS) materials and the intention is to create creative products based on these materials.
The winner of the competition will receive a prize of 10,000 Euro and will have the opportunity to implement the created product in the Style Department and laboratories of the Milan-based company IES. The second prize, awarded to the Best Project Under 25, is a trip to a European City of Design.
The competition will award the talent and skills of intelligent design, versatile use of EPP and EPS materials, uniqueness, multiplicity of use, flexible ideas, innovative design, simple implementation, feasibility, observance of production times, awareness of production processes, functionality behind the product created and production economics.
The IES European Design Award 2015 competition is open to all Italian and foreign designers, with no age limit.
