FotoFilmic is a new global curatorial platform dedicated to contemporary film photography worldwide. To celebrate its official launch Fotofilmic is organizing a massive 6-month film photography competition open to all photographers shooting on film around the globe.
FotoFilmic is now accepting entries of up to 10 film photography images to be shortlisted and featured online.
From 15 December 2012 through 15 June 2013 FotoFilmic will announce every 2 months 30 winners for a total of 90 film photographers & 270 film photographs!
To Celebrate its Official Launch, FotoFilmic is Organizing a Massive Film Photography Competition Open to All Film Photographers Worldwide
All entries must have been shot on film in any format, including instant films and must be relatively recent, dating no further back than 1 January 2010. Entrants must be 18 year-old to enter.
Please consider the following deadlines:
- 15 December 2012 to 15 February 2013 – 1st 30 selected entrants announced on 1 March 2013
- 16 February 2013 to 15 April 2013 – 2nd 30 selected entrants announced on 1 May 2013
- 16 April 2013 to 15 June 2013 – 3rd 30 selected entrants announced on 1 July 2013
An international jury of 9 renown film photo professionals – Jamie Campbell (Toronto, Canada), Polly Chandler (Austin, TX), Sebastian Edge (London, UK), Alessandro Imbriaco (Rome, Italy), Gabor Arion Kudasz (Budapest, Hungary), Evelyn Sum (Vancouver, BC), Dimitris Triantafyllou (Thessaloniki, Greece), Awoiska Van Der Molen (Amsterdam, The Netherlands), Kalteen Verjans (Antwerp, Belgium) – will review FotoFilmic’s Online Shortlist to pick the 30 pieces to be exhibited as the FotoFilmic’13 Contemporary Film Photography Exhibition in Vancouver, BC in August 2013 (Exhibition Catalog + 3 Winners Cash Prizes).
