The 2017 call for the annual “Embracing Our Differences” juried exhibition competition is now open and artists are invited to embrace diversity and celebrate individuality, once again.
Artists, photographers, professionals, amateurs, students are all invited to submit their interpretation of the theme “enriching lives through diversity”.
A total of $3,000 US will be presented in the form of three separate awards — $1,000 each for “Best-in-Show Adult”, “Best-in-Show Student” and the “People’s Choice” award.
Embracing Our Differences’ annual international outdoor juried art exhibition features billboard-size images and is displayed during April and May each year in Island Park along Sarasota’s bayfront in Southwest Florida.
Last year, the competition received more than 8,350 individual entries from 104 countries and 44 states. A total of 90 winning works were selected.
Since 2004 the Embracing Our Differences exhibition has hosted over two million visitors plus another 200,000+ students for a very unique opportunity to experience the importance of diversity in our lives.
