EcoChic Design Award 2015 Competition

The 2015/16 cycle of the EcoChic Design Award has opened and emerging fashion designers in Asia and Europe are invited to enter the competition.

The EcoChic Design Award is the world’s largest sustainable fashion design competition in which young fashion designers create mainstream clothing with minimal textile waste.

The winner of the 2015 Competition will design her/his own capsule collection using up-cycled textiles for Shanghai Tang, China’s leading luxury brand that prides itself as the curator of modern Chinese chic. The second best designer will receive a six month tailored mentorship with distinguished sustainable fashion designer, Orsola de Castro. Many other prizes are available as well.

The Competition is open to fashion designers with less than three years of professional experience and fashion design students living in any Asian or European country — all eligible countries are listed on the official website.

The year marks the fifth anniversary of EcoChic.
