The Youth Center in Banja Luka is organizing a logo design contest for professional designers, design students and amateur designers.
Activities in the center are based on the support for local initiatives, in the field of youth activism, international exchange programs and co-production at a regional and a European level. The Youth Center promotes young artists and advocates the rights of socially marginalized individuals and groups. It also takes care of constructive collaboration and debate between civil society and government structures, and generally engaging culture as an integral part of social and economic development.
Create a modern and innovative solution that will present new strength and dynamics of the Youth Center.
Objective
You are expected to create a modern and innovative logo solution that will present new strength and dynamics to the Youth Center, a new youth center and cultural life in the city. You are given total freedom in creation process.
Solutions and ideas that are too serious, corporate, and solutions that are too frivolous, childish, and copies of other people’s resolutions and decisions “on loan” from the Internet are undesirable and unacceptable.
Prizes
The most successful conceptual design will be awarded the following cash amounts:
- First place: 500€
- Second place: 250€
- Third place: 150€
Rules
- This contest is open to professional designers, design students and amateur designers from all countries.
- Your work should include a basic version of the logo, positive, negative, definition of colors (Pantone and CMYK), definition of font/fonts and a completed application form.
- The paper should be submitted in pdf or jpeg format at a resolution of 300 dpi.
- Award winners will be decided by a three-member committee composed of three professional designers. After the selection is completed the prize winners will have to send their work in ai or cdr and eps format.
