Communication Arts 2018 Typography Competition

Communication Arts magazine has recently opened its 8th annual Typography Competition and currently accepts entries for 2018.

This juried competition celebrates the best use of typography as the primary visual element in design and advertising, plus new typeface designs, calligraphy and hand lettering.

Chosen by a jury of leading design professionals, the selected entries will be distributed worldwide in the Communication Arts Typography Annual, in print and digital editions, and on commarts.com, assuring important exposure.

Each winning entrant will receive a personalized Award of Excellence and award certificates issued for firms, individuals and clients.

CA’s Award of Excellence is one of the most-coveted awards in the industry. If chosen, winning places you in the highest ranks of your profession.

Any typographic project first published or produced from September 2016 through September 2017 is eligible.

Communication Arts 2018 Typography Competition – Entry Fees

The regular entry fees for the Competition are:

  • $40 single print entry/$80 print series
  • $90 single video entry/$180 video series
  • $20 single student print entry/$40 student print series
  • $45 single student video entry/$90 student video series

Entries registered after 8th September 2017 require a late fee of $10 per entry.
