Communication Arts magazine has recently stared accepting entries for the 4th (2014) edition of their annual juried typography competition. Through this competition, Communication Arts celebrates the best use of typography as the primary visual element in design and advertising, plus new typeface designs, calligraphy and handlettering.
Any typographic project first printed or produced from September 2012 through September 2013 is eligible for the 2014 Typography Competition.
Selected entries will be distributed worldwide in the “Communication Arts Typography Annual” publication and and on commarts.com and each winning entrant will receive a personalized Award of Excellence – one of the most-coveted awards in the industry.
Entries may originate from any country, but an English translation is needed for the jurors.
The fees for regular entries – entries submitted no later than Midnight (Pacific Time Zone), 6 September 2013 – are $35 for single entry and $70 for series. Entries registered after 6 September 2013 and no later than 20 September 2013 require a late fee of $10 per entry.
