BASF Design it. Love it. Live it Design Competition 2016

The 2016 edition of the BASF design competition, themed “Design it. Love it. Live it” is now open for submission.

Creative minds across the globe are invited to draw inspiration from BASF materials and submit innovative design ideas that address the complex challenges and opportunities of urban living.

The competition total cash prize fund for 2016 is $35,000 (RMB) — that’s more than $5,300 US — of which $20,000 (RMB) are reserved for the Grand prize Winner, who will also be awarded a trip to visit designfabrik® in Germany.

This year’s theme has been influenced by the social impacts of urbanization which affects our lifestyle – in the homes we live in, the cars we drive, the furniture we own, and the sports we engage in.

So, what role can design and innovation play to ensure that we are prepared and equipped for this social adaptation?

Submissions can range from consumer items (furniture, footwear, apparel, etc) to industrial products (medical devices, construction equipment, etc) or any object that can help societies realise their aspiration of healthier, smarter and sustainable living.

You can include any sketches, designs or drawings. Full details of production or design, or prototypes are not necessary.
