ArtZept 2014, 11th International Design Award

Zepter International has recently announced the Call for Entry for ArtZept 2014, its 11th International Design Award competition, seeking for creative talent around the world.

The ArtZept 2014 theme is “Cosmetic Bottles and Containers – Striving For Beauty” and all participants should submit work inspired by the theme.

This year, the First Prize is 10,000 Euro! A Second and a Third prize consisting of 4,000 Euro and 3,000 Euro worth of Zepter products will also be awarded.

To be considered for the awards, all entrants should submit designs for cosmetic product containers, which include:

  • Perfume and eau de toilette bottles
  • Spray and roll-on deodorant applicators
  • Jars and other containers for creams, lotions, gels, powders, make-up…
  • Packaging for facial and body toiletries

The cosmetic containers should be principally made out of glass, ceramics, plastic and various contemporary composite materials. All submitted entries must be entirely new and original creations, both functional and aesthetically pleasing, suitable for large-scale production. All items (cosmetic containers) should be presented in the form of 3D digital models produced with CAD/CAM or CAID software, and in high-resolution rendered images clearly showing the shape, appearance and purpose of the artefacts, as well as their dimensions, materials, surface finishes and paints.

ArtZept gives the world’s most talented young designers well-deserved recognition, with prizes and publicity, and also provides them with opportunity to exhibit their work in luxurious Zepter shops throughout Europe, a dream for any young interior designer.

Since 2004, when the contest was first launched by philanthropist Madlena Zepter, ArtZept has grown from strength to strength, becoming one of the best known design awards in the world today.
