The 2012 Travel Photographer of the Year (TPOTY) awards are now open for entry. Whether you’re an amateur or professional photographer, young or old and wherever you live in the world, you are eligible to enter TPOTY 2012. There are some challenging new categories and some fantastic rewards!
TPOTY has helped many travel photographers – not just the winners – to raise their profile, sell their work, get commissions or launch photographic careers.
The 2012 Travel Photographer of the Year Awards are Now Open!
TPOTY is the photo contest that’s run by photographers for photographers. It’s open to photographers from all countries; amateur or professional, beginner or expert, young or old. And it’s judged by leading photography experts and offers fantastic prizes, including travel adventures, photographic equipment and paid commissions (including one for Condé Nast Traveller magazine) and photographic tuition.
There are three Portfolio categories, the Condé Nast Traveller category, an HD Video category, Young Travel Photographer of the Year award, a One Shot category, First Shot category, New Talent award and 2012 sees the launch of the Cutty Sark Award, an outstanding prize for the overall winner of Travel Photographer of the Year, presented by Cutty Sark Blended Scotch Whisky.

- The entry fee for each portfolio category is £15.
- The entry fee for New Talent, Condé Nast Traveller Award and the HD Video category is £20.
- The entry fee for One Shot and First Shot is £10 per category, and Young TPOTY is free to enter.
