Retail Design Institute 2016 Student Store Design Competition

The Retail Design Institute and its Student Design Competition Committee has announced the 2016 International Student Store Design Competition and seeks for design proposals for a “Convenience Store with Gas Station“.

Convenience stores or c-stores are a hot topic in the retail design industry, as many operators are currently redesigning, re-branding and rolling out new prototypes, and generally immune to economic slowdowns.

For this competition, the Retail Design Institute offers $10,000 (US) in cash prizes to promotes the advancement and collaborative practice of creating selling environments.

All students presently enrolled in a recognized college level Architectural, Interior Design or Environmental Design program are invited to participate.

The process is divided into three phases, programming, concept design, and final concept design development.

Retail Design Institute’s goal is to award creative thinking, to help your professors provide students a real-world holistic design process, and to introduce students to the exciting and dynamic career of retail design.

Retail Design Institute 2016 Student Store Design Competition Entry Fees

There is no cost for submitting individual entries. The cost for group entries of two or more students is $50 per submission.
