The Competition aims to help promote the photographic profession and to raise the level of professional standards.

The best photographer will be awarded the “FEP European Professional Photographer of the Year 2016” award. Ten (10) additional awards – one for each competition category and a special award for student work – will be announced as well.

The 2016 FEP European Professional Photographer of the Year Awards include these nine (9) competition categories:

  • Wedding

From the nine (9) category winners (Golden Cameras) the jury will select an Overall Winner. The author who achieves the highest number of votes by the full judging panel will be presented as the “FEP European Professional Photographer of the Year”, receiving a certificate and a special trophy.

Awards will be presented at a special ceremony, details for which are yet to be announced.
