2015 Saul Bell Design Award Competition

Recognizing distinction in jewelry design through the Saul Bell Design Award, Rio Grande has opened the call for entries for its 2015 competition.

The Saul Bell Design Award competition is one of the industry’s most respected international jewelry competitions and open to jewelers and hollowware artists from across the globe.

The only requirement is that you possess a mastery of your craft and an original point of view. You may enter as many pieces as you wish, though you can only be a finalist once per category.

The Competition includes the following categories:

  • Gold/Platinum
  • Hollowware/Art Objects
  • Silver/Argentium® Silver
  • Enamel
  • Alternative Metals/Materials
  • Metal Clay
  • Emerging Jewelry Artist

Your final design must be wearable jewelry (unless you are entering the hollowware/art objects category) and it must be composed of a majority of the material specified in your chosen category.

Prizes include Rio Grande gift certificates and promotion through a variety of media and industry events, including display in the exclusive Plumb Club during the 2015 JCK, Las Vegas show.

The deadline for entries is 3rd October 2014, except for entries in the Emerging Artist category, for which the deadline is 28th November 2014.

2015 Saul Bell Design Award Competition Registration Fee

The registration fee for all categories except Emerging Jewelry Artist is US $95. Emerging artists may register for $25.
