2015 Independent Games Festival (IGF) Competition

The Independent Games Festival (IGF) has recently opened the call for submissions for 2015 and started accepting entries in its 17th international competition for indie games.

Independent game developers around the world and students are invited to participate with their best work and compete for over $50,000 in prizes!

The Independent Games Festival is the longest-running and highest profile independent video game festival, summit and showcase.

The deadlines for the Main and Student Showcase categories for the 17th IGF are 22nd October 2014 and 31st October 2014 respectively, with finalists announced in January 2015.

The 2015 Main IGF Competition will give out seven major awards:

  • Seumas McNally Grand Prize ($30,000)
  • Excellence In Visual Art ($3,000)
  • Excellence In Audio ($3,000)
  • Excellence in Design ($3,000)
  • Excellence in Narrative ($3,000)
  • Nuovo Award ($5,000)
  • Audience Award ($3,000)

The Independent Games Festival is a part of the 2015 Game Developers Conference, which will be held from 2nd March through 6th March, 2015 at the Moscone Center in San Francisco.

2015 Independent Games Festival Entry Fee

The IGF entry fee for the 2015 Main competition is $95. There is no entry fee for the Student Showcase competition.
